STRIKE COALITION
We are the STRIKE COALITION. We support and stand in solidarity with any and all types of STRIKES including but not limited to industry strikes, regional strikes, general strikes, company strikes, walkouts, mass sick days, and shutdowns. We also connect with a boarder decentralized COALITION for Movement Organizing.
We believe in the power of striking and know it takes courage to step up and challenge power through unity. Building a picket line is more than a protest, it is the organizing and decision making of the people. Lets work together to take back our collective power.
We are a decentralized coalition which means that all our decisions are transparent and accessible to anyone. If you don’t agree with something or want to build a new strategic direction, you can fork and we will even help you start your own model. The more organizations supporting strikes the better.
Decentralized Organizing
We support multi-cultural, multi-langue, multi-country, and multi-community struggles towards building the strength to STRIKE bigger and bigger. This means that any person in any country in any language and in any organization can choose to start organizing and take action. You do NOT need permission to use our materials, to replicate or start new ideas or work with your local or online communities. Lets get to work.
Commit, Pledge, Sign Up, Ping
Every individual has a unique experience and connection to their community. As a network, our goal is to connect you to your countries and local regional strike organization(s). Each organization may have a different pledge, strike card, model and way to sign up. So you should always work towards connecting to your local, regional and national organizations, and we will help you with that.
Demands & Grivences:
Our Grievances document the struggles and hardships of THE PEOPLE. We document the abuses by those in power, and begin the process of holding them accountable and empowering THE PEOPLE to build our case for change.
Our Demands strengthen our message to the world, and our communities, and help us build stronger resilient communities though a united mission, purpose, vision, and values. Every person who gets involved can evolve our community and culture. Everyone is valued and part of our collaborative resistance to change.
Who is Striking?
Anyone and everyone!
Regular people, human beings, actors, organizations, kids, students, artists, activists, teachers, workers, laborers, athletes, drivers, gig workers, waiters, retirees, and anyone and everyone who wants to join.
We are open to everyone who agrees with our process and agreed upon demands and vision for leaving our world better for future generations than what we inherited.
Some STRIKES that we support are only for specific industries, workers, students, countries, or other limiting factors, but anyone can always support those on the picket line, and even join the picket line.
